Too many days off in a row. I've literally been doing nothing! I got sad news on Sunday. Aaron sent me a text saying his mother had passed. She had been fighting cancer for a long two years. I feel so bad for Aaron, it's right before the holidays, and his birthday. And the Jewish are so sad when it comes to funerals. Firstly they happen so quickly, she haden't even passed away a full 24 hours and they already had to bury her. And the burial was so so so sad. The family and friends who wish to participate actually start to bury their loved one. There are this mom's husband, kids, family and friends in the dirt shoveling dirt ontop of her plain pine wood casket. It's so much more symbolic than a catholic or any other burial I've attended. I just hope that the comfort of knowing she's not fighting anymore gets the family through the holidays.
So since we had such a long drive (the burial was all the way up near NYC) Steph and I talked on the way home. I always thought that I wanted to be creamated. My idea was my ashes to be seperated and taken all over the world. I would pick like seven places I never got to go to and that way it forces someone else to travel all over the world broadedning them after I died. But now the more I think of it I think I would like my body to be donated to science. I don't care if student are cutting me up or they take my cells and do tests on them. I'll be dead! Then my family doesn't have to pay for a funeral, we're in a recession here people! In all seriousness I hope it's a long time before anyone has to make that decesion.
So regardless I've been off for the last three days and I think I NEED to go shopping today, which means I have to hit up the bank since I don't have a debit card yet and my Mastercard is crying since I've been using it so much.
Going through the archives, found this pic. I dragged Aaron & Steph to the Philadelphia Museum of Art (yes, where Rocky runs up the steps) one night to take a few night shots of City Hall and low & behold we found this adorable little gazebo. Anyways that's all I've got for ya!

Delores!
<-- My <3 Delores! This is our kitty Delores, also known as DeLo, Dee Dee, Baby B, Princess Kitty, Kit Tan, among about a million other nicknames. This is a game Dee likes to play with us. It's a pretty popular game among kittes, climb inside bag/box/cupboard (in this instance it was a reusable shopping bag) and they attack anything that moves. So the bag was sitting on my mom's sewing table next to my camera. Which is where I come in... Dee has loved fighting with the camera ever since she was a baby kitteh. When we first brought her in she used to love to play on the sofa and as soon as I would bust out the camera she would attack it. So it was no suprise this summer when I found myself in the predicimant of my loving, friendly (aka bitch!) little cat I went in with my camera. Every now and then you get lucky she will let you pet her or pick her up but for the most part, nope.

Truck Stop & Spooky Road
So all I've been thinking about all day is sorting out all the pics on my computer. Now that I've finally downloaded Picasa I'm a lunatic. It's fun though, I've been finding tons of stuff I forgot about. Such as this little number... I love love love this picture. It was a truck stop in god knows where on route 66 on our way to Tennessee in February 2008. It's some ass early hour when I decided, being the good co-pilot that I am, that I would actually wake up and keep Ben company during this epic 10 hour drive from New Jersey all the way down to the Volunteer State. I'm glad I awoke for the air was cold and refreshing and I got to see the begining of a beautiful sunrise. It was still dark enough that I could do a long exposure and blow out those parking lot lights. If I had to name it, I would call it "Nucleur Truck Stop" That probably sounds pretty lame, lol. The next pic I came across that I really liked was from the same trip actually. One night Ben and I decided to go out back with our camera's and tripods after dark and play with the long exposures. They live in an extremely rural area with no artifical lights. So a car came down the road and it made for a rather spooky picture. I played around with it on Picasa a little bit. Freaking LOVE it! I'm so happy to be off tomorrow. I have some paper work to get done but I would really love to go out tommorrow and enjoy the day. We shall see I guess.

Lame first post.
So this is my first blog, ugh I'm such a noob. Whatevs. I'm gonna start out just posting pictures I guess. At the suggestion posted on one of my new favs, http://www.ishouldbefoldinglaundry.com/ I decided to create this blog. I really enjoy taking pictures. I've been doing it for a few years, I should be much better at it. I just have trouble remembering all the technical aspects of it. But I don't care really. I'll get there one day. The photo on the left is one I took this Summer. We took a vacation camping this August down in Virginia, on the Cheseapeake. One afternoon me, my Dad, my sister Steph and Ben took a ride on the bay in my Dad's boat. I was sitting up by the hull while we were zipping around, snapping a few pics whenever we could. (Trust me there were a lot of bad pics, we were really zipping around.) I looked through the lens and saw this rope and this bit of omnious clouds (we actually had to cut our boat ride short due to said omnious clouds) I clicked and it actually became one of my favorite vacation pictures. I'll probably post again later tonight. Basically I am going to post old pictures as I try and organize the bazillion pictures save on my hard drive. I can't wait to see what I find. I am going to post new pictues whenever I go out shooting. Whatevs. TTYL.
